  1. 3 years ago I was being persued by Capital one bank for a credit card debt.
At the same time that they were taking me to cour they kept sending me applications for a new credit card. Eventually I TOOK OUT A NEW CREDIT CARD
with capital one and borrowed £600 to settle the credit card debt.

I refused to pay the new credit card debt on the grounds that they should never have allowed me to take it out??

The debt has since been assigned to a debt recovery firm who are threatening to make me bancrupt. They have in fact sent me some forms to this effect. Claiming £985.

Can they in fact make me Bancrupt over one debt? And Can I appose this application if it does go to court?

    Regards
    James Pemberton
