I work in a finance related field and know if I go bankrupt I will lose my job. I also know I need to go bankrupt, an IVA would still have me lose my job which then I couldn't afford to pay the IVA.
What happens to people who lose their jobs due to going bankrupt? Where can I get a job?
I am in a mess and while I have been advised bankruptcy is an option for me I would like to try and not go bankrupt.
I have 22,000 pounds of debt between my credit cards and loans.
All the accounts are in just my name.
I lost my job 6 months ago, but just recently started a new job making around the same level of wages.
I am in arrears with everything.
I do not own any property and have an arrangement with my landlord for my rent arrears.
Can I do anything besides go bankrupt?
I am wondering if bankruptcy is the best solution for me.
I have 5 accounts and credit cards that total £18,000 that is between 3 credit cards, 1 personal loan and my overdraft. I use the overdraft all the time.
I am working but do not own any property.
I went to a local charity advice service who went over my expenses and told me to set up a payment plan making payments of £5 a month as I really don't have any extra money each month. I seem to always have something come up like a repair to my car or something like that.
What should I do?
My bills and debts are getting out of control and I need to do something soon. I have 18,000 on 3 credit cards and my overdraft. I am working and earning £1100 per month, have no property, but do have to pay child maintenance each month.
I am thinking about going bankrupt, but want to know all my options.
