I have joint debts of about 64,000.00. ive been advised to go bankrupt or may be an iva i will find that out soon if i can do that. We want to emmigrate and due to having such a bad year our family are funding the move for us. Can this cause problems with the offical reciever and can we emmigrate even if we have not been discharged from bankrupty. We want to go to NZ. M y husband is a skilled worker and we have been told we will qualify. thanks
Answer:
There are no travel restrictions whilst bankrupt or afterwards.
If you want to go bankrupt and then move abroad it is allowed and your family can fund the trip/move for you.
