Question:
I'm discharged from bankruptcy, can I be guarantor for someon who needs finance?
Answer:
Yes you can, however you may find that the creditor will refuse the finance. Adverse credit information stays on your credit file for 6 years before falling off. Even though the information falls off, if you're ever asked by a creditor if you've been made bankrupt, you have to declare it. Failure to do so is classed as fraud and does carry heavy penalties.
Thank you for letting me help you.
