Question:
Wishing to go back to self employment but not sure if i need to notify official reciever of possible change in finances.
I was declared bankrupt in March 2009 whilst employed and have been paying into an IPA since. I have recently been offered a job as a joiner, which is my trade, on a self employed basis. I recieved a letter from the Official Reciever in October 2009 with a copy of an early discharge notice. There is a strong chance of me earning more money as a joiner so will I need to notify the Official Reciever of my new financial situation?
Answer:
If your bankruptcy has ben discharged, then you do not need to notify the OR of any changes in your finances.
You will still continue to pay into the IPA, but any additional funds you earn are yours.
Good luck with the new job.
Thank you for letting me help you.
