Question:
Currently in a bankrupcy order and have a 3 year payment order in force
Once discharged from bankrupcy but still with in the 3 year payment order, can you advise on the following
Will I have to disclose any bonus payments from work?
Will I have to disclose if I am made redundant and recieve a redundancy payment?
If my wages change will I have to notify the company in charge of the payment order?
Answer:
Once your bankruptcy has been discharged you are out from under the restrictions of bankruptcy and you do not need to report changes in your income or any bonuses you receive to the OR.
However, if you are made redundant and cannot meet the monthly payments into your bankruptcy, you can contact the OR to inquire about having the payments modified or ceased as you are no longer working and cannot afford them.
Also, if you were to receive a bonus, there is the possibility of discussing with the OR the option of buying-out the income payment order.
Thank you for letting me help you.
Jon
