When Will Bankruptcy Drop Off My Credit File?

Question: Declared bankrupt, discharged after one year, been discharged for nearly 3 years now.

I understand that bankruptcy won’t clear from my credit file for 6 years – but is this 6 years from date of declaring bankruptcy or 6 years from date of discharge?

Answer: It is six years from when you were declared bankrupt, so five years after your discharge.
