As A Discharged Bankrupt Can I Take A Lump Sum From My Pension?

Question:

I made myself bankrupt in jan 2009 and was discharged jan 2010.

I have recently been discharged from bankruptcy and wanted to know if i take a lump sum from my pension can the insolvency people make a claim on it?

Answer:

Once your bankruptcy has been discharged it is over and you are out from under any of the restrictions for being a bankrupt.

You can take a lump sum from your pension if the pension administrators allow this and the OR in your bankruptcy has not placed a claim against it.

Thank you for letting me help you.
