What Is The Time Scale For Bankruptcy?

Question:

What is the time scale of bankruptcy?

Answer:

Once you complete the forms for bankruptcy you take them to your local County Court which in most instances you are made bankrupt the day you file the forms.

You can inquire with your local court as to if they are experiencing any delays.

Once made bankrupt, you are usually in bankruptcy for a period of 12 months then the bankruptcy is discharged; it is over.

Bankruptcy stays on your credit history for six (6) years, but has to be disclosed for life.
