In Bankruptcy Can I Register A Property In The Republic Of Ireland?

Question:

I was declared bankrupt dec 2008 in the UK. If i were to register a property in the republic of Ireland in my name is there a chance this will be affected? Thank you in advance.

Answer:

Until your bankruptcy is discharged you are obligated to advise the OR in your bankruptcy of any changes; obtaining property could be seen as an asset and it will be reviewed in your bankruptcy, regardless of if the property is in the UK or outside the UK.

Thank you for letting me help you.
