i went bankrupt in 2004 and have just recieved letter from one of the credittors requesting full payment of outstanding ballance, which is listed on my bankruptcy can they do this also there are 2 other credittors listed on my credit report along with the one mentioned above they state that i am in default with payments dating back to 2003/2004 which are listed on my bankruptcy- is this right are they still expecting to be paid- can i do anything about this!
Answer:
When you go bankrupt, all your unsecured debts are included.
It sounds like you just need to have the credit bureaus update their records.
You can send the credit bureaus Equifax, Experian, and Call Credit copies of your bankruptcy discharge so they can update their records.
If you don’t have a copy of your discharge, you can obtain one at the court where you were made bankrupt. The court can charge you £60 for this notice.
Thank you for letting me help you.
