What Is A BRO And A BRU?

Question:

What is a bankruptcy restriction order (BRO) or a bankruptcy restriction undertaking (BRU)?

Answer:

Bankruptcy restrictions are an extension of the exact same restrictions that all bankrupts must comply with before their discharged.

If you receive a bankruptcy restriction order or bankruptcy restriction undertaking from a court or the official receiver, then those same restrictions can extend up to 15 years.

You might find that you are subject to an extended bankruptcy restriction due to reckless behaviour before bankruptcy.

You can see the most current bankruptcy restriction orders (BRO) or bankruptcy restriction undertakings (BRU) online here.
